Shailee & Vivek Part II (Reception)

S&V’s Wedding events were a year in the making and there were so many details that went into making their finale come alive, which may have been the most anticipated finale we had the pleasure of being a part of last year. The bride and groom’s grand entrance emerged from a silhouette rear projected onto a screen of white sheer drapery. Their 45 second (short and sweet) choreographed silhoutte dance was perfectly unexpected and the perfect illusion that magically came to life, bringing the bride and groom onto the dance floor for their first dance. Jay Cunningham from Kaleidescope did an unreal job of the lighting, which added to the ambiance of the beautiful room. The ballroom was transformed into a fantasy land of soft whites and shimmering champagnes. The dessert lounge was encased with white sheer fabric, and was the second element of surprise for the guests after dinner was served. The dessert lounge details deserve it’s own post…so stay here for details.

Andrew Milne had an awesome creative session with his camera after we completed our part. Stay here for details of the dessert lounge he captured.

Shailee & Vivek Part I (Wedding)

2011 ended with two beautiful Weddings, one of which was Shailee & Vivek’s. From the beginning, the design process was easy. With their calm and laid back personalities, they were open to any ideas we through at them. Both Shailee & Vivek have super busy med-school lifestyles, so they left a lot of the creativity to us. Shailee expressed interest in a traditional but unique Mandap, with a very elegant and clean color palette. True to her style, we went with hues of antique greens, peaches, corals and pinks for the florals.

The aisle leading up to the huge 30ft Mandap, was designed with our regal 6ft broken glass candleabras. We debuted our new 6 Pillar Gold Taj Mandap which was accessorized with hanging crystal beads running all through the top panels. The Mandap was draped with a coral colored satin drape and adorned the swags of crystal beads. S&V’s traditional red and gold vibrant ensemble stood out against the soft and subdued colors and candlelit in the room.

Laura & Eddie Wedding & Reception

Laura and Eddie were married at the oldest church in Jacksonville, St. Joseph’s. Their Reception was held at the luxury resort, Club Continental in Jacksonville, FL. This beautiful bed and breakfast is nestled on the Saint Johns River and is the most tranquil and intimate setting for a Wedding gathering. I’m so grateful to Heather Snively from Weddings Unique, for bringing Laura and Eddie to us, because they were the sweetest couple.

Although smaller than most Weddings we design, this was one of my 2011 favorites because of all the little details. We used two different design concepts for the tabletop. The favors, bouquets, boutonnieres, ring bearer pillows, flower girl baskets to table stationary, everything was customized to the very last detail. I love the vibrant and classy color scheme Laura picked for the decor. It was true transformation of the space.

The personal flowers were some of my favorites of 2011. Laura’s bouquet was designed with White Phalaenopsis Orchids and White Mini Callas. The bouquet was wrapped with crystals and adorned with a crystal brooch. The Wedding party embraced peacock inspired colors and floral designs. And the ring bearer pillow was covered with moss and accented with a dark ribbon and a peacock feather.

Agnes Lopez is amazing! This was our first time working together and I’m in awe of what she captured. Hop on over to her blog to see more pics of the Wedding!

And here are some of the details Agnes captured of the personals…
